The Plastic

This project explores plastic pollution at the cause. I created a narrative that differs to what we see in main stream media. This is normally the effects that plastic pollution has caused. For example, images of animals with plastic harming them and their habitat. My narrative tries to evoke humans emotions and inspire change by the use of man-made objects.

The visual style of this project was inspired by my ‘Spring: Bud to Bloom’ project and the photographer Girma Berta. The style was chosen for its simplicity which helps narrow the focus onto the plastic.

The final outcome for this project was two sets of triptychs. The triptychs differ in terms of background as I wanted to experiment with different backgrounds to see if there was a difference to the photo.
